Happy Birthday Dillon!

My baby turned 7!!! I have a 7 year old!!! I love Dillon more and more every day, and can’t even remember how I could feel happy and fulfilled before he was in my life. I’m pretty sure he had a great Birthday, but the best is yet to come. He got a lot of wonderful gifts from grandparents and friends, that included Lego’s, a book on ideas for Lego’s, a new transformer, and some ca$h! The big gift from mom and dad this year is a trip home!!!!! Dillon and I are very excited to go home and visit family and friends that we have missed very much! We will be in Utah for 10 days, while daddy stays home to work and clean the house ; ). (My blog posts will also be on hold too, I would rather be playing than blogging!) He also got a new trike. A couple of kids on our street have one and Dillon is always asking to ride theirs, so we decided to get him one too. Happy Birthday my baby Dillon, we all love you so much and are happy to have you share your crazy joy with us every day.

The park

Last weekend our neighbors invited us to the park with them. This park was AWESOME to say the least and all the kids had SO much fun!
Dillon enjoyed some fishing time
I can not even put into words how much fun Carson had flying the kite, I know we will be investing in one very soon!

A bit bright for him

Odd

I love Dillon so much! He just brings a smile to my face thinking of all the silly things he does or comes up with. Dillon has ALWAYS been a very unique little boy, always. His latest and greatest is he is “collecting” his teeth. When he lost his first tooth, he hesitantly put it under his pillow and got money. I thought he would be very happy with the money and get the “hang” of things……. Buuuutt NO. He has since lost two teeth and has very firmly requested to keep them. He’s not scared of the tooth fairy or anything; he just wants to keep them?!? I’m not sure what he plans on doing with them, and I have told him that after a month I was going to MAKE him throw them away (ewww, gross!) but for the time being, he just wants to keep them? I sure do love you Dillon, weird things and all.

projects

Lowe’s has these darling “learn and grow” projects they offer for free on Saturday mornings. We have made Santa’s sleigh, a dinosaur, and a Valentine’s Day card box. The boys really enjoy these, and I think they are so cute. It’s just hard when we have basketball every Saturday as well, so I have been just picking the ones I know they “really” want to do. Here is an over load of pictures from our projects.

Love

I have to brag for a minute and tell you how lucky I am to be loved. I talk about my darling little boys all the time, but I rarely mention my handsome big boy! He is just about the best thing for me, and I am so lucky have him in my life. If you are jealous already, you may want to stop here, if not, I have a story to share about how sweet he really is.
A couple of weekends ago I went on a girl’s trip to Las Vegas. He never once said “I couldn’t go” and did everything in his power to make sure I had a good time! I knew my kids were in good hands, and I love the fact that I never even have to question if they are going to be taken care of. I got back on a Tuesday and Wednesday morning I woke up and couldn’t move. My back went out, and again without hesitation he stayed home again to take care of the boys, house, and me this time. I felt SO bad that I had just taken a weekend “off” and here I was again down for the count. I just lay in bed all day, and sat on the couch while he waited on me hand and foot. He did laundry, and even cooked for us. Later that night he took both boys to basketball practice while I sat holding the couch down. The next day he had to go to work, but called me all day long to check in on me. On his way home he grabbed us some dinner, cleaned it all up, scrubbed kids, put them to bed, and then did all sorts of chores for me. For the rest of the week and into the weekend all he did was take care of everything. Bent over and put things away, or grabbed things for me, gave kids baths, washed dishes, changed all diapers, carried things up and down stairs for me and much much more.
I never once got a complaint, only willingness to help me out any way he could. This was only a week of things he did for me (it was a pretty crazy week) but he does things for me ALL the time to let me know he cares. I could go on and on, but I just wanted to let everybody and anybody know that on this sappy day of love that I am very much in love, and am very lucky to be loved!
yup, that's my darling hubby! :)

#2

Dillon lost tooth #2! It has been hanging by a thread for about a week before it came out. I was on my way to the airport for a girl’s trip when Dillon pulled it out! The night before I left, I told him I would be so sad if he lost his tooth when I was gone, so he and I were both happy I didn’t miss it. My baby is growing up so fast!!!

Basketball

I forgot to mention this way back when, but Dillon is playing basketball. He actually started in December, and we have practice twice a week, and games every Saturday. He is getting better and better, and I'm just so proud of my little man! The pictures suck, but I keep forgetting to take my camera to get better ones. He is #11
