fun memories

I love Dillon for so many reasons, and I would like to remember everything I can about all the silly things he says and does, here are a couple

We were eating hamburgers one night, with seedless buns, and Dillon says to me “Hey Mom, why does this one not have white sprinkles on it?”

The other day I was lying on the bed, and he comes in with a little ball he had. He started rolling it at my belly, I was blocking it with my hand, and he got irritated with me and told me to stop because he was playing ball with his brother.

He has ALWAYS said he needs to “lawn the mow” not “mow the lawn”

He was in the bath tub the other morning and I warned him for the bazillionth time not to drink the water. He said, “Ok” then he said in such a serious voice “but are you serious?”

Thanks for the memories and endless smiles buddy, keep them coming!

first day of what?

On Friday was the official first day of Spring, or was it? Dillon came into me the other morning saying “mom, it snowed!” I was thinking ya ya, some flurries… and when I got up to open the blinds to my surprise we had SNOW!!! It snowed pretty much the rest of the day. I thought we were done with the snow, but was pleasantly surprised by the Christmas look. I will probably be getting a lot of “hate” messages, but I love the snow, I think it is so pretty. Don’t get me wrong, I like the beautiful sunshine too, I just like all seasons, and why hurry up the years any faster than they are already flying by! This picture really does not do justice, a lot had melted today, but we still had quite a bit left.

Grandma & Grandpa Great

This past weekend we had my grandparents come and visit us. It was so good to see them. We did just get to see them this past summer, but we hardly ever get to see them since they live in Canada, so I was really nice to have them visit! On Monday we went up to “This is the place” and had a good time walking around there and getting a little train tour. We had a good time with them, thanks for visiting… hope to see you soon!

Happy Birthday my big boy!

On Saturday was my little boy’s 4th Birthday! I can hardly believe I have a four year old! I say this all too much but I am so happy to have Dillon in my life. I must have done something right somewhere to deserve him. I never dreamed I could get such a good kid… he is so sweet and makes my whole world brighter! Happy Birthday Dillon!

Naturally we had a “Tonka” party; we invited family over for some lunch and played some games. Thanks for all his great presents, he really enjoyed them!

His big present from mom and dad was his ride on dump truck (he has been calling it his jeep?) You deserve the best Dillon and I hope you hade a great day! I love you!

I love you Dillon!

Ok, I know I have been a total slacker on my Blog updating… but we still have the dinosaur computer, and now it too is on the fritz! (Wish us luck, we need it! Or possibly donations for a new one, that would be nice too :)) So last week in School, they were learning about fairytales. Every Thursday they have show and tell and I received a note asking all the kids to bring their favorite fairytale book. I have never came across a “tractor fairytale” so I had to send him with his favorite tractor book?!? (I knew his teacher would understand) I went in early to watch and she was calling up all the kids one by one to show their favorite book. Dillon’s name was called and he busted out the coolest construction book ever! He was so proud of his book, and opened up it to show all his friends that it was a pop-up book. His teacher was impressed and in fact his book was the only one they read and Dillon got to stay up and tell everyone all the names of the tractors! I love this school and they fact that they validate HIM for who he is. He always feels so special and his teachers always listen to his rants about all the tractors and how they work. Every day they have a magic letter and I try to help Dillon come up with a tractor that starts with that letter. His teacher seems to enjoy that! I was helping him get his coat on and his teacher came up to me and said “he is so cute! Today he told us he just wanted to learn about tractors …. Tonka ones!” I love my little guy!

Sick and tired of being sick and tired!

Anyone else? So the first week of February I got a cold, nothing too serious, but with no medication still no fun. The next week Dillon got sick, he woke up at five in the morning complaining of a headache with fever or 103.0. He went back to sleep and for the rest of the day was throwing up. That lasted about three days, in the mean time my cold decided to turn into a sinus infection, and I decided to take the drugs! The following week or so, Chris decided to get sick as well. We have all been HEALTHY and happy for about a week now… but holey cow! It is so nice to feel good with happy kids again; I hope we can stay this way!
