Fun down South

Last weekend we had another opportunity to go to St. George. We had lots of fun visiting Grandma, Boompa, and Papa. On Saturday we headed off to the St. George parade, which was actually pretty fun. Then on Sunday the boys headed to Mesquite to do some digging… Dillon’s dream comes true!

The Zoo

Last weekend we decided to go to the Zoo. We stopped on the way and bought Dillon a new wagon, now if I could only find a way to have somebody pull me around to see all the animals…. Hummm? Anyways, the weather was perfect and we had a great day together as a family. :)

Patrick

I’m not sure how many of you are familiar with the character “Patrick” on Sponge Bob (and I’m sorry of you do), but the other night we went to Carl’s Jr. I ordered Dillon a chicken nugget kid’s meal and they were actually cute little stars. I asked Dillon if he knew what that was (he is working on his shapes) and he proudly told me “it’s Patrick!” he was so proud of himself… I think it’s time to lay off Sponge Bob!

Just a thought

I just have been thinking about today (9-11) and wanted my family and friends to know how grateful I am for everything! Life can be short and I take so many things for granted. I have an AMASING family who I wouldn’t trade for the world, I drive a nice car, I have a great house to live in, and I always have food to eat.
Dillon and Chris are the center of my world and I wouldn’t know what to do without them! I have had eight wonderful years with Chris (we celebrated our anniversary on Sunday) and three with Dillon. I am surrounded by random “Mom, I love you” and big hugs & kisses by Dillon, and phone calls just to say “Hi” and see how my day is going from Chris. What more could I ask for? I am so sorry to those who have lost so much today, or any other day! Sometimes I just need to stop and realize how much I really do have.

Preschool!

On Tuesday my baby had his first day at preschool. It was so sad and happy all at the same time. I know it will be the best thing for him, but I will miss my little buddy for the mere two hours he is gone! He will go on Tuesday and Thursday’s. I love this preschool and am very happy with the choice. They actually have a drop off and pick up service for parents so you don’t have to get out of the car. They have an open door policy (as I believe they should) with a one way mirror in every classroom. I walked him in on his first day, kissed him and told him to have a great day. I stayed to watch him to see how he would react. He came running out of class looking to see if he could see me (thank goodness he couldn’t) and went back to his business. I actually stayed for a half hour and went ten minutes to pick him up. I think I am getting better; today I did walk him in, but I only stayed for ten minutes. He is really happy and proud to show me his work the two days he has gone and hopefully next week I will get the courage to use the drop off and not go in with him.

Happy Labor Day!

I hope you all had a great three day weekend, we sure did! We headed down South to get away, and visit Grandpa’s and Grandma. We stayed in St. George with my Mom and Step Dad, and spent a little time in Mesquite with Chris’s Dad. Dillon loved driving the race car's on the computer, and digging in the dirt with Papa. (sorry no pictures!)
