it's getting hot in here.....

Here in Texas, it’s too hot to play outside.  So we have to use our imaginations while playing inside.  The boys had a blast building this fort….

And this one.  When it was time for bed they didn't want to take it down so we let them have a sleepover in it.  As weird as this is and may sound, my kids have never has a sleepover, so this was there first one and I think they did pretty good.

THREE!

Happy Birthday Carson man! It’s so sad to think my baby is already three, my my time sure does fly. We had such a fun and full day.We had some friend over for breakfast and presents, and after that we headed to a go-kart place.Carson was able to drive his own go-kart, and then he got to drive with me :) We also miniature golfed, and played in the bounce houses. After we were done with that, we headed home to grab our pool stuff to go swimming with the Wursten’s.(for those of you who don’t know, theWursten's are my sister’s in-laws who live here, and they are as close to family as we have here and are grateful to have them!) We swam, ate pizza and had very yummy and messy cupcakes :). We love you SO much Carson and I hope you had a fun birthday!

Busy bees

I know, I know.  I have been a total slacker with the blog.  But in my defense, I have busy playing rather than sitting on my lazy who-ha and blogging.  May has already come and gone, and it was fun while it lasted.  Chris had a birthday (sorry honey for no special post to you) and Dillon graduated FIRST GRADE!!! I am SO happy he is out of school, and now we have some serious playing to do! We got started a little early with an extra long Memorial Day weekend (for whatever reason Dillon got Friday off as well?) So we decided to host a BBQ with some friends.  We busted out the slip-n-slide, and went old school and put the sprinklers under the trampoline.  Fun fun times! Then on Dillon’s last day of school, I checked him out early and surprised him by taking him to the movies.  Then on our first official day off of school we went bowling!  Summer has just started, but we aren’t slowing down one bit….. bring on June.
