I love you Dillon!

Ok, I know I have been a total slacker on my Blog updating… but we still have the dinosaur computer, and now it too is on the fritz! (Wish us luck, we need it! Or possibly donations for a new one, that would be nice too :)) So last week in School, they were learning about fairytales. Every Thursday they have show and tell and I received a note asking all the kids to bring their favorite fairytale book. I have never came across a “tractor fairytale” so I had to send him with his favorite tractor book?!? (I knew his teacher would understand) I went in early to watch and she was calling up all the kids one by one to show their favorite book. Dillon’s name was called and he busted out the coolest construction book ever! He was so proud of his book, and opened up it to show all his friends that it was a pop-up book. His teacher was impressed and in fact his book was the only one they read and Dillon got to stay up and tell everyone all the names of the tractors! I love this school and they fact that they validate HIM for who he is. He always feels so special and his teachers always listen to his rants about all the tractors and how they work. Every day they have a magic letter and I try to help Dillon come up with a tractor that starts with that letter. His teacher seems to enjoy that! I was helping him get his coat on and his teacher came up to me and said “he is so cute! Today he told us he just wanted to learn about tractors …. Tonka ones!” I love my little guy!

It's Little Learners, on 7800 S. and about 4400 W. I really like it!

Sounds like he's a great kid! And he knows his tractors! Reminded me that last December while we were in British Columbia we stopped and took a picture for Dillon. You can see it here:

That's a HUGE tractor/dump truck. To get the perspective of the size, we had Sam (who is the tallest person we had with us...) stand near it. You have to look real close to see him! He wasn't quite as tall as half a tire!

Hey! Happy Birthday to Dillon yesterday, and Happy Birthday to you last week as well! I'm horrible at remembering b-days. I'm not even sure what day your b-day was, but I know it falls somewhere between Collin's and Dillon's. I hope you both had a great day! Love Ya!
