The carving of the pumpkins

So this past weekend we did the pumpkin carving thing. Dillon is still too young to poke and cut it out himself, and we had added an extra child to the mix so it was quite some work. We made Dillon clean out his own pumpkin and his Papa helped (or should I say did the whole thing) cut it out. My life is always all about my kids so of course I did a pumpkin epically for Dillon. We just made a cute face for Carson because we just look at him and smile... so that was the objective there. Chris and Dillon picked out their patterns from a book and all and all we had a good time.

Four months

It is official, he is off the charts. Not that I didn't already know this, but I have a big, very big baby! He has the weight of an eight month old, and the length of a seven month old. His head is right where it needs to be...
Weight: 19lbs. 4oz. ... off the charts
Length: 27 3/4 inches … off the charts
Head: 42.8 cm … 70%
We started him on the rice cereal, and some peaches... naturally he needs to learn, but has been doing better with every feeding. Carson, thanks for bringing so much joy to my life! You make my heart melt just thinking about you and you big smile!

Last week was our field trip to the fire station... we will be repeating all of our field trips from last year, but that's ok... we still had fun!

St. George

I'm not sure how many of you out there know (or care) that my sister lives in Denver, we rarely get to see her so any chance we get we love to go. She decided to take a trip to my mom's house (in St. George) which is a lot closer than Denver so we hoped right on it and went. Chris had to stay behind to work, and we missed him lots, but we sure had a fun time! Went to Jumping Jacks, the park, lots and lots of playing at Grandmas, and our little family tradition Stahley Farms.

A little update

Busy busy busy... that just about sums it up. Carson is getting bigger by the hour, and I am just completely in love with his little personality. Dillon is the best big brother around and helps in any way possible. His favorite thing lately is burping him... he loves to help pat his back and will get mad if you help him. Dillon being in school three days a week has defiantly keep us busy, but he is so happy to go. Dillon finally got to go the “farm” that he has been asking about. (see older post) My good friend Allison and her son came with us to this really cute “farm” that had SO much to pick and see. Allison and I had fun picking all the yummy veggies... and the boys had a blast throwing dirt around. More adventures to come I promise... until then, happy fall!

School days...

Today was Dillon's first day of preschool. Dillon has been asking all summer long when he gets to go back, and today was the day. He was very happy to arrive and see his teacher Miss. Debbie (we LOVE her!) and all his friends again.

I am still amassed at how lucky I am that Dillon has NEVER shown any jealousy and only love for his brother. Carson is lucky to have such a great big brother and I am just happy for both my big boys... I love you guys!
