So sorry but I am sure that my next few posts will be all about Carson, and nothing else. We are home and getting settled down. We have had a few visitors come by, but other than that we are just getting into the swing of things. Dillon loves his tractors, but his most prized positions are his blankets and his “dogs” (different stuffed animals, but he calls them all his dogs?). We have been telling Dillon for a long time now that he has to share everything and be a good big brother, but we will never make him share his blankets or his dogs. The other night Dillon insisted that Carson have his blankets and dogs, we were both shocked! He wanted Carson to sleep with them, but we told Dillon that it was so nice of him to share, but he could have them back. Sure enough the next morning Dillon gave them all back to Carson along with some toys to play with. I hope that Dillon will continue to be a big help and love his brother!
It is true, he finally made it here! We ended up going into the hospital at 2:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and he was born at 7:33 a.m., he is perfect and doing excellent! He weighed 8lbs. 1 oz. and is 21.5 inches long.I am so surprised that he looks nothing like Dillon did when he was born, but I guess it really depends on the opinion. I have heard that he looks like me, that he looks like Dillon, or that he is a mix of us all? I personally think he has more characteristics of me, but he doesn’t look like me at all, just himself. I love him to peaces already and am so happy to have him in my arms and not in my belly!
I am so bummed right now….. it’s too sad to even describe the disappointment I feel! I did not get to go to the hospital today and have my new little guy. We were up and ready to go by 7:30 like I was told too and after calling at 10:00, then having to call back at 12:00 I finally received a call from my doctors nurse telling me that the hospital suggested that I be bumped to Monday because they have had too many “walk in” in active labor. I am so sad! I can’t believe that I have to wait TWO whole more days to have him. Just thought I would give everybody the low down ….. have a great weekend and hopefully I will have some more exciting news to report Monday!
I am so disappointed, I was looking so forward to doing all sorts of fun stuff with Dillon all week long, just me and my little buddy for one last hooray, but the rain had other plans for us. Monday we decided to go to Classic skating, but it was PACKED with three different schools there. Tuesday we had planned on a picnic in the park, it was raining so instead we did it in my kitchen. Wednesday I had had it and decided to go to the Zoo, after only being there for an hour we were DRENCHED and ready to go. Today we were going to go to Wheeler Farm, and see the animals, ride the tractor and feed the ducks…. but again the rain! I am so sad that my week didn’t go as planned but was still happy to spend every last second with Dillon that I could. I have had the best four years with him, and I will miss “our” time but I believe we are giving him the best gift we can…. his little brother. Wish me lots of luck for tomorrow, and I will post pictures as soon as I can!
Ok, I am officially ready to have him here! My house is now cleaner than the day we moved in, all baby’s things washed and put away, his room is all ready to go, diapers and wipes out, car seat put in car, now all we are missing is the baby! I love the fact that I only have five more days to go… but at the same time am still apprehensive about having two kids, instead of just me and my buddy Dillon. I am very excited to spend all week just hanging out with Dillon before his world is turned upside down. Here are some pictures of our new little one's room.
P.S. Yes we do have a name, but I think I will wait to tell you all when he gets here, but if you look close enough, you might be able to see it on the wall!
Chris and I were married September 7th 2000. Our greatest accomplishments are our pride and joy Dillon and Carson. Dillon was born March 14th 2005, and Carson June 16th 2009. Chris spends his day’s busy working to support our family, with School at night. My days are filled with lots of playing, keeping the peace, snuggles, keeping both my little men out of too much trouble, an endless amount of cleaning, shopping for great deals, laundry, and cooking. As busy as our lives can get, we couldn't be happier!
