There is a light!

I am on cloud nine right now, I am almost done! This last stretch is so hard… it has gone by so fast, yet slow at the same time?!? I went to the doctor’s yesterday and it is official, I will get my new little one on June 12th, if not sooner! I am dilated to a two, and 70% effaced. My doctor told me that he isn’t even sure if I will even make it until the 12th, although I am not holding my breath but at least I know I will get to meet him on the 12th. We really want to thank everyone for all the wonderful gifts, and the contributions that have been given to us for this baby and our family. We are lucky to have friends and family to help support us, thank you so much!

Memories

On day I was going a little too much so I had to sit and take a little break. I was in a little bit of pain and Dillon was looking a little concerned, here is the conversation

D: Mom, is your baby torturing you?
H: No, just kicking me a lot
D: Is he kicking because he wants to get out?
H: Yes, I am sure he would love to come out!
D: Then why doesn’t he?
H: Because he is not done baking in there.
D: (with the funniest look on his face) Is he baking something in there?
A couple of months ago Dillon was going through a spell of bad behavior (who Dillon, no never!). Chris was tucking him in for bed and here is that conversation
C: Why are you choosing to not be a good boy anymore, it makes Mom & Dad sad when you act naughty!
D: I think it is because my engine is not working, maybe it is broken?

A couple of nights later, we were praising him for the good behavior for the day and he proudly announced “Hey, my engine is working again!”

But I want to go to the truck museum

Last week Dillon had another fun field trip to the Clark Planetarium. They have been learning about space and I was telling him that we were going to go to the space museum to see the things they had been learning about. In the car on the way there Dillon announced to me that he didn’t want to go to the space museum, but he wanted to go to the truck museum. We had good time regardless, but he was searching the whole time for anything that had to do with trucks!
